Downloading the Twitch App
In order to get started, go to the Feed The Beast website and download the Twitch App or the FTB (Legacy) launcher.

Installing the Twitch App
Run the downloaded setup file, which will begin the installation process after you have accepted the EULA. The Client installer may have to update your .NET framework – it will do so automatically. The client may need to undergo an update when logging in for the first time. It will automatically restart and install the latest update for you.
Shortcuts will place a Twitch shortcut on your desktop
Please note that you will need a Twitch.com account in order to use the Twitch App. You can register for a free account on Twitch.tv or on the Client login page.

Using the Twitch App
You can find an entire tutorial on how to download the desired modpack over at Twitch.tv

Technic Packs Setup
Getting the Launcher
Before using the Technic Launcher, you need to have Java 8 installed. MMCC officially recommends the AdoptOpenJdk builds, due to their superior license and availability to the official Oracle builds. Follow the instructions here for your platform to install OpenJDK 8 (select the Hotspot VM). Once Java is downloaded, the Technic Launcher is available on the Technic Platform website. It works on Linux, Mac, and Windows. To download it, simply go to the download URL, scroll down until you see buttons for Linux, Mac, and Windows, and then click the button for your platform. The file that you receive should be directly executable on your platform. Simply place it in a convenient spot for you. Once you launch it, you will be asked some questions such as for your Minecraft username and password and for where to install the Minecraft files to. Answer these questions as you see fit.

Finding, Installing, and Launching Packs
Once you have finished setting up the launcher, when you open it (unless you must log-in again, which sometimes happens) you'll see the main launcher. The Technic Launcher has 3 different screens: Discover, Modpacks, and News. For general usage, the Modpacks screen (pictured on the right) is the most interesting. To access this screen (pictured on the right) simply click on the "MODPACKS" text in the left of blue bar at the top of the launcher window.

Once you're there, some modpacks (e.g. Tekkit Lite) are instantly listed on the left. To play one of these packs, click on the pack to select it, and, once it is selected, click "Install" in the lower-right of the launcher. After the pack is installed, a "Play" button will appear where the "Install" button was previously. This button, as the name suggessts, launches the pack.

Some packs, however, are not official Technic packs and thus must be added manually. To do so, type a fragment of at least 3 characters of the pack's name in the text box labelled "Add Pack or Search" to find it. For example, to install GT New Horizons (its name in Technic), you may type "new," "horizon," or a variety of other things. Once you've searched for the pack, the left pack list will be replaced by the search results automatically (there is no need to press enter or click any button — just typing is sufficient). Just as before, you can select any result and then install it.

Tweaking Settings & Accessing Minecraft Folder
Many players of Technic packs will want to tweak settings. The settings in the Technic Launcher are divided into two categories: per-pack settings (including the pack's version and install folder) and launcher settings that apply to all packs (including Java arguments and memory allocation). To access per-pack settings, first select the modpack whose settings you want to change, and then click "Modpack Options" about 1/8th of the way down from the top of the window on the right, with a gear next to it. In the small window that appears when this button is clicked, it is possible to change the version of the pack, reinstall it, open its Minecraft folder, or move it. To access the launcher settings, click on the "Launcher Options" button with a gear at the right of the launcher at the bottom of the blue stripe at the top. This will bring up a helpful settings window with a large variety of options. The most interesting to you are likely in the "Java Settings" tab, however. It is worth briefly exploring these settings to determine if you want to change any.
Vaskelhttps://wiki.moddedminecraft.club/index.php?title=How_to_Join&diff=688How to Join2021-08-13T22:53:50Z
Vaskel: update pack versions

Vaskelhttps://wiki.moddedminecraft.club/index.php?title=How_to_Join&diff=685How to Join2021-07-05T21:14:06Z
Vaskel: update pack versions

Vaskelhttps://wiki.moddedminecraft.club/index.php?title=How_to_earn_the_Member_rank&diff=642How to earn the Member rank2020-08-12T21:02:20Z
Vaskel: /* How to be promoted */

When first joining the server, players are given the Guest rank.

Member is a rank that can be accessed for free by all players. Note that the Ironman rank is also available on GTNH.

How to be promoted
To become a member, you simply need to establish yourself as part of the server by building a few basic machines. As with any complex modpack, our modpack allows for many ways to accomplish the same thing. The basic task you must perform to become a member is to make an ore processing setup that meets the following requirements:
#It has a single input and a single output,
#It duplicates ores (one ore to at least two ingots).

:The power source can be something like a coal-based generator, provided you have plenty of fuel (at the discretion of a staff member, but usually about a stack is good), and/or a renewable resource such as solar power and battery setup that is able to keep your ore processing powered 24/7.

Chunk loading is not required.

Once you have these things setup, ask a staff member in Discord to verify by posting in #member-apps and they will promote you to the member rank or explain to you what you are missing, when they are available. When verifying through Discord, you will also need to show your FTBU Claim (See: Claiming). The member rank is a rank given to those who have shown they have a basic understanding of the modpack and have spent time on the server.

The exceptions to this are:

- Chemical Exchange: You need to complete the Manufactory quest.

- Enigmatica 2: Expert: Setup does not have to double ore output.

- Omnifactory: Optional: instead of ore doubling, you can have any LV machine and an appropriate power setup as described above.

- FTB: Interactions: Get access to the overworld.

- Compact Claustrophobia: Complete the "Infinite Tiny Rooms" quest.

Perks of the Member rank
Once you have been promoted to a member, you gain access to the following additional features:
*The ability to set greeting and farewell messages on your claim(s),
*The ability to "log in" to Discord in-game to allow your messages to appear to be said by you in the Discord interface,
*The ability to name your claims,
*The ability to subdivide your claims and provide more fine-grained permission in that way,
*The ability to set up infinite /home points.
*(If applicable) The ability to access Member-only Mob Farms (e.g. Enderman, Nether, etc.)

Vaskelhttps://wiki.moddedminecraft.club/index.php?title=Main_Page&diff=635Main Page2020-07-23T16:20:44Z
Vaskel: /* Server IPs */

Overview

Problematic Setups & Solutions in Current Servers
* Vanilla:
** Squid Farm (Skyblock): This farm consists of squids spawning in a water column and falling down to their deaths, usually by suffocation or the fall itself. If the killing method or the item collection method is not working correctly, it can cause an influx of entities (item or mob entities). The overflow of mobs can be avoided by making sure the way they die is a guaranteed fatal drop from the lowest spawning space. The overflow of items can be avoided by either having a drawer with a void upgrade or an item conduit to a lower priority trash can or some other way of voiding items. [Image: https://imgur.com/a/JBFbktO]
** Mob Farm: This farm simply consists of spawning mobs and then killing them in any way possible. A couple of ways this can cause lag is: no collection of XP, no entity overflow protection, and no item collection / overflow protection. XP can be solved by having an enderio xp vacuum feeding into an XP obelisk (which can hold the 32 bit integer of xp) or if using enderio item conduits, lower priority fluid trashcan. Entity overflow protection can be done by having some sort of entity detector that detects how many entities are in a certain place and turns off the farm if the number gets too high. Item overflow protection can be done by having a lower priority insertion to a trash can or void drawers for items.

*Immersive Engineering:
**Garden Cloche: These machines grow crops faster than vanilla with the usage of water and energy. When the cloches get full, they tend to become laggy due to their attempt to continue growing the crop and then attempting to insert the items into the internal inventory. The fix for this is to have a drawer on top of the output slot of the cloche with a void upgrade installed or if using enderio item conduits, a trash can on lower priority to void overflow items. [Image: https://imgur.com/a/j0kLBJW]

*Bonsai Pots:
**Hopping Bonsai Pot: This block creates miniature versions of growable things like trees, sugarcane, and cactus faster than vanilla. These can become laggy when the thing they attempt to put into a full chest / drawer or when there is tons of them. The fix for this is to feed the pots into a 4x4 drawer with a void upgrade attached to it and to limit the amount of bonsai pots that you have.

*Snad:
**Snad Farm: Snad is a block that when it receives a block update, will instantly grow the thing on top of it (usually sugarcane or cactus). This can cause lag when the breaking and collection system is not proper. This can be avoided by just simply using an Actually Additions Block Breaker, which will not break blocks if it is full. Another way is a void drawer or if using enderio item conduits, a lower priority trashcan.
Problematic Setups & Solutions in Previous Servers
Vaskelhttps://wiki.moddedminecraft.club/index.php?title=Rules&diff=617Rules2020-06-17T00:14:30Z
Vaskel: /* Global Rules */

Overview
In order to keep Modded Minecraft Club a more orderly, calm, and happy place, we have instituted several rules. These rules are what we believe to be the minimum required to create a community of the type we intend to create. If you have any questions or suggestions about any of the rules please feel free to post them on our forums or ask them to a staff member.

These rules are divided into two categories: Global Rules (which apply everywhere, on the forum and all servers), voice chat rules (which apply on the voice channel in Discord), and rules specific to each server.

Rules
Global Rules
*No griefing whatsoever, even in unclaimed areas.
*Claim all builds. See how here here.
*Do not claim any land unless you intend to build in it. Do not simply claim land features because they look nice. Claiming land to prevent other players from getting to it before you are able to do so is fine, but, a staff member may remove your claim if they feel you are taking too long. Players are free to request such a removal if they see a place that they would like to build.
*If you want to build a base within 128 blocks along the x or z axis of any other player, you need their permission first.
*Failure to claim a build will prevent you from obtaining a refund of any items lost if it is griefed. You are guaranteed a refund of lost items if a claimed build is griefed due to a bug in the server or any of its mods.
**If you trust a player in your claim and they grief you you are not entitled to a refund.
**Staff may, at their discretion, provide a refund even if you are not entitled to it.
*Loss of items due to player-at-fault deaths or destruction, (including, but not limited to, destruction from mobs, items/block interactions, and grave destruction) may prevent you from obtaining a refund/rollback of any items lost. This does not include loss of items due to bugs or exploits by other players.
**Staff may, at their discretion, provide a refund even if you are not entitled to it.
*No utilizing exploits in the modpack and/or server
**This rule bans AFK pools, AFK machines, or any device that bypasses the automatic AFK-kick. We need to ensure that players don't load chunks when they are not online, due to Minecraft's limitations.
**Players may load chunks while offline by voting for the server.
*Report any and all exploits you find or otherwise become aware of via an email to john01dav@gmail.com or 132@ikl.sh as soon as you are able to do so
*No slander about other players or people in general (defined as one or more disparaging and false claims)
*No discussion or participation in illegal activities in Canada, Montreal, Quebec, the United States (including all states) and your location (ie. piracy)
*No spawn-killing.
*No spamming, in chat, forum threads, or otherwise.
*No racism, sexism, homophobia, or other forms of bigotry. This will result in an immediate permanent ban
*No profanity above PG-13 level. This roughly correlates to a single swear word every 2 hours per player (although this is not a hard limit), and no definitions of swear words (jokes that rely on such definitions are also not allowed).
*Always be respectful to all other players and staff members. Disagreeing constructively is not disrespectful, ad hominem and other such attacks are.
*The use of alternative accounts to evade punishments or bypass server restrictions such as chunk loading or claiming limits is prohibited. Alternate accounts for other reasons are allowed, however they must be declared to a staff member.
*Only English is to be spoken in the server chat and on the forums. This is to ensure that our moderators are able to monitor what is being talked about -- we do not want rule-breaking things being discussed. We are open to taking on new bilingual (or more) staff members to allow more languages to be spoken in server chat.
**When talking to a staff member, you can use whatever language you prefer.
*Do not pester staff members for free items, ranks, or anything of that nature (except for the member rank).
**Asking in the case of being griefed, whether or not your build was claimed, is not pestering.
*To become a member, establish yourself in the world and then talk to a staff member (see this page for more information).
*A moderator’s say is final on all matters and supersedes what is written in these rules, unless they have violated the Moderator Guidelines and except in the case of an appeal.
**All appeals must contain new information that was not properly covered by the original moderator. Our definition of "new information" is very open, and essentially only bans extremely basic appeals with no reasoning behind them.
*Do not attempt to bypass any world borders.
*If there have been 3 months since you were last on MMCC, your base(s) and other claims are eligible to be transferred to another player. We can exempt you from this rule for extended absences if you notify us ahead of time. If you are interested in taking over a base, please talk to a staff member.
*RFTools dimensions are not allowed -- at all.
*Do not attempt to chunk load anything with any chunk loader other than the FTBUtilities mod.
*Do not attempt to gain off-line chunk loading.
*All automated setups (such as mob farms and snad) that create entities (e.g. dropped items, mobs, or animals) must have a system to prevent overflow (and thus lag and/or server crashes).
**See this page for a non-comprehensive list of types of setups (with possible solutions) that have been problematic in the past, and thus now must have such a system.
**Any problematic setups found breaking these rules that have made no attempt to handle entity overflow may result in a removal of the offending setup and/or a removal of the player in repeated and/or extreme instances.
**In Modded Minecraft, things sometimes don't go as intended (due to bugs, player error, or some combination thereof). As such, redundancy (multiple systems that can prevent issues even if one or more fail, instead of just one failsafe) is strongly encouraged, although it is not required by default.
***A staff member may require redundancy in any particular case, provided that there is a reasonable (at staff's discretion) option for implementing that redundancy.
**Entity overflow can be handled in various ways, such as a shut off for mob farms when not in use, comparators to shut off machines/spawners when an inventory is full, or dumping excess items into a trash can or void-upgraded drawer.

----

Voice Chat Rules
*Anyone may join the chat, unless a staff member removes them for violating these rules. That means telling someone to leave, unless they are violating these rules, is not allowed. A player may ask another person to leave due to rule violations, however, this is nothing more than a request. If you do not like their non-violating behaviour, you may leave.
*To ensure that people can participate in the chat who do not want to use their microphone or who do not have one, all participants in that chat must either be in-game on any server and watching its chat or watching the #general text chat on Discord. Failure to do so in a repeated and malicious manner will result in loss of voice chat privileges.
**To help anyone who prefers to participate without talking, you may be server muted by a staff member upon request to avoid accidentally leaving your microphone unmuted and spilling private information.
*Do not spam the voice chat. This includes music (you may listen to your own, keep it out of the chat), screaming, excessive background noise or static, and any form of "ear rape".
*If asked to use push to talk by a staff member, use push to talk. Strongly consider it if asked by another player.

----

Omnifactory Rules
*Snad recipe is disabled. Please go to /spawn for info on how to use and obtain it.
*Randomizer Bag recipe is disabled.
----

FTB Revelation, All The Mods 3: Remix, and Enigmatica 2: Expert Rules
*RFTools dimensions are not allowed -- at all.
*When using an RFTools builder as a quarry you must use a clearing quarry card to ensure that other players know that area has been mined and do not attempt to mine it again.
**When using an RFTools builder in the Nether or in the Deep Dark, you must use a non-clearing quarry card, to prevent flowing blocks. The area will still appear as mined because the netherrack/cobblestone is replaced with dirt.
*Any activity that damages the world (RFTools builders acting as quarries, harvesting a large area of a forest, plundering a village, etc.) shall be done in the Nether, End, Deep Dark, or Aroma's Mining World to prevent aesthetic damage to the main world and to allow us to easily reset the mining world to bring in new resources without disrupting structures.
**There is an exception for the area immediately around your house.
*All worlds except the overworld and space will be reset periodically. As such, you should not place your base there.
*Do not claim any land on the main island in the End dimension.
**Claiming land on the outer islands and in the void between islands is allowed.
**Be warned that the end is periodically reset.
