In order to claim an area to call your own, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Write the command /kit claim in your chat. You should get a golden shovel and a named stick.
  2. With the golden shovel in your hand, right click one of the corners of your area. You should get a confirmation in chat that you did so.
  3. Right click, with the shovel in your hand, on the opposite corner of your area.
  4. You should get a confirmation in chat that now you have set a protected area!

When joining the server, every player starts with 100 total claim blocks. Afterwards, they are issued 120 claim blocks per hour, at intervals of 5 minutes.

Note: Claims are defined as 2-dimensional areas (meaning the area you claim will protect everything between Y=0 and Y=256), so you only need to set two corners.
